Hello, I wonder if you have seen this board/configuration yet: UP Board mediaplayer box. Edit: this is an Intel UP board.
I think that there might be demand for a more hardware-capable node, which can natively accommodate a hard drive. Yes it would cost a little more than the original bitnode, but I think in this instance would provide very demonstrable future-proofing for another few years.
Incidentally, my B2 node is still up and running just fine (now with classic 1.1.0), but I am aware that my 128GB SD card will not last forever and also more block validation might start to be a problem. I would also (ideally) like to be able to decrease my mempool limitations.
Just interested to hear everyone's (mainly ayeowch's I guess!) thoughts on this. I think if development work was needed to make this happen then the community could potentially pool and support such work.
